1. Agreement and eligibility
These Terms are an agreement between you and CandidNorth, operated from Arizona, United States. By creating or using an account, purchasing a membership, clicking to accept, or otherwise using the service, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Notice.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement. CandidNorth is currently intended for individual job seekers in the United States.
2. The service
CandidNorth helps customers organize career evidence, explore role directions, develop a Base Resume, assess opportunities, prepare application materials, track applications, and prepare for interviews. Features, data sources, and beta workflows may change, be paused, or be discontinued.
CandidNorth does not act as an employer, recruiter, staffing agency, attorney, financial adviser, or licensed career counselor. We do not submit applications or make employment decisions for you.
3. Your account and information
You are responsible for safeguarding your login, using accurate account information, and notifying us promptly of suspected unauthorized access. You may not share an invitation or account with another person.
You retain ownership of resumes, career records, job descriptions, feedback, and other material you submit. You grant CandidNorth a limited, nonexclusive license to host, copy, format, analyze, and otherwise process that material only to provide, secure, support, and improve the service, comply with law, and exercise rights under these Terms.
You represent that you have the right to submit the material and that doing so does not violate another person's privacy, confidentiality, intellectual-property, or contractual rights. Do not upload another person's resume, protected employer material, government identification numbers, financial credentials, medical information, passwords, or information you are not authorized to use.
4. AI, review, and your responsibility
CandidNorth uses automated systems, including third-party AI services, to analyze submitted material and produce suggestions. Automated output can be incomplete, incorrect, or unsuitable. Optional human review can reduce risk but does not guarantee accuracy or results.
You must review facts, documents, and application decisions before using them. You remain responsible for the truthfulness of all claims and for materials you send to an employer. CandidNorth will not knowingly invent employers, titles, dates, metrics, education, credentials, skills, or willingness to relocate.
5. Acceptable use
You may not use the service to break the law, impersonate someone, submit false career evidence, invade privacy, upload malware, probe or bypass security, scrape the service, automate excessive requests, extract prompts or secrets, access another customer's data, resell an account, or use CandidNorth as a general-purpose chatbot.
We may rate-limit, suspend, or terminate access to protect customers, service providers, and CandidNorth or to investigate suspected misuse. We may preserve information when reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, dispute handling, or legal compliance.
6. Membership, payment, and cancellation
The price, billing period, renewal terms, and applicable taxes are shown before purchase. Unless checkout expressly says otherwise, a paid CandidNorth membership renews automatically each month until canceled. Fees purchase access for the stated service period and are not a promise of a job-search outcome.
Paddle is the authorized reseller and Merchant of Record for paid CandidNorth memberships. Paddle processes charges, applicable transaction taxes, receipts, cancellations, and eligible refunds under its buyer terms. By completing checkout, you also agree to the buyer terms presented by Paddle.
You may cancel at any time through CandidNorth's Manage billing control or the subscription link provided by Paddle. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and no further renewal charge will be made after that. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, Paddle's buyer terms, and mandatory law.
7. Intellectual property and feedback
CandidNorth and its software, design, branding, workflows, and service content are owned by CandidNorth or its licensors. These Terms do not transfer those rights. You may use documents created for your account for your personal job search.
If you provide product feedback, you allow CandidNorth to use it without restriction or compensation, but we will not publicly identify you or publish your private career content without separate permission.
8. Disclaimers
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." CANDIDNORTH DISCLAIMS IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR THAT IT WILL PRODUCE INTERVIEWS, OFFERS, OR EMPLOYMENT.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CANDIDNORTH WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, LOST PROFITS, LOST OPPORTUNITIES, LOST DATA, OR REPUTATIONAL HARM. CANDIDNORTH'S TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING FROM THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR CANDIDNORTH DURING THE THREE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM OR $100. THESE LIMITS DO NOT APPLY WHERE LAW PROHIBITS THEM.
10. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you will defend and indemnify CandidNorth from third-party claims arising from material you submit, your violation of these Terms, or your unlawful or unauthorized use of the service. This obligation does not apply to the extent a claim results from CandidNorth's own unlawful conduct.
11. Disputes and governing law
Arizona law governs these Terms without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Unless applicable law requires otherwise, disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona. Before filing a claim, each party agrees to give the other written notice and 30 days to try to resolve the dispute informally.
12. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we will provide reasonable notice and request renewed acceptance when appropriate. Continued use after the effective date of a nonmaterial update means you accept the updated Terms.
